105.00 - RESIGNATIONS 1. A member is requested to provide at least two weeks' notice of intent to resign from the department, to allow ample time to process the notice. The Fire Chief may waive the notice requirement and allow the resignation to become effective immediately on receipt of a member's intention to resign. 2. Notice of resignation shall be in writing and delivered to the Fire Chief. 3. A resigning member should contact the appropriate City department for information related to benefit options. 4. A resigning member shall turn in all uniforms, pagers, keys, and other property issued by the department. A member may be assessed a replacement cost for any item that is not returned or is returned damaged. |
